12th Annual Undergraduate Arts and Sciences Symposium

8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Decary Hall
Biddeford Campus
Free and open to the public

The symposium takes place between the end of CAS classes, and the beginning of finals week.  The symposium provides a forum for campus-wide presentation, display, and discussion of scholarly works, original writing, art, or projects that have been completed by faculty and students.  Concurrent sessions will be held throughout the day with presentations made by faculty and students from a variety of departments.

All undergraduate students and faculty are encouraged to participate in the symposium by presenting original research, writing, or other projects.  Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length.  All presenters should plan to devote 3 minutes of their assigned time for audience questions. Oral presentations will take place in the Decary Hall from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Symposium organizers will schedule time slots for presentations.

Posters and artwork will be displayed for a two-hour session from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Students who present posters or display artwork must stay at their displays for the entire 2-hour period to answer questions or provide additional information that might be requested by symposium judges and visitors.  Poster presenters not in attendance during this session will not be eligible for prize money.

Co-presentations and panel presentations by students and/or faculty are entirely acceptable and encouraged. Light refreshments will be provided.  An electronic copy of the schedule will be available during the week prior to the symposium.

Submission Deadline is April 18.  More information.
