Dr. Partridge is a professor, an ordained Episcopal priest and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He holds a master’s of divinity from Harvard Divinity School, a Ph.D. in social work and sociology, M.A in sociology, and an M.S.W. from the University of Michigan. 

He is currently a visiting professor at Bowdoin College in the Sociology Department/Africana Studies where he teaches a course on racism and also serves as special assistant to the president for multicultural affairs.  He was the rector of St. Ann's Episcopal Church in Windham from 1998 to 2006. Partridge has also worked as a clinical social worker in private practice and at Community Counseling Center in Portland and at Sweetser Children’s Services in Saco.  

He has held several director/administrator level positions in higher education including: first-year class dean at Bowdoin College, assistant dean of students at Amherst College, assistant director of admissions and student services, director of minority recruitment and retention and assistant professor in the School of Social Work at Wayne State University, and a social worker in Student Services-Counseling Services at the University of Michigan.

Partridge has been civically engaged throughout the state and region including serving as commissioner for the Maine Indian Tribal-State Commission, as the president of the Maine Council of Churches, chair of the Diversity Cabinet for the United Way of Greater Portland, vice-president of the Board for the Center of Prevention of Hate Violence, vice-president of the National Coalition Building Institute Advisory Board, Advisory Board member at the University of Southern Maine, and a member of the Committee against Racism for the Episcopal Diocese of Maine.
