Arts@UNE Film Series: Ten Days that Shook the World
This documentary style film is one of the most talked about ever made. It follows the rise of the Bolsheviks from February 1917 through to November of that same year when the communists took control of Russia forming the Soviet Union. The movie was so successful in its depiction of events that many people imagine it is the most accurate account available of the Russian Revolution. Historians know differently and the film thus stands as a strong reminder of the power of film to form memories of the past.
