Waste Characterization Study

The Sustainability Lab, ENV 240, will be dissecting the contents of a campus dumpster and recycling bins.  Americans notoriously throw away more than four pounds of trash daily.  Come learn about how much of what is thrown in our campus dumpsters is actually recyclable and how much contamination there is in the residence hall recycling.  It is sure to be an eye opening experience.
