Tell Me What Hurts: Storytelling and the Healing Arts

8:45 am - 8:45 am
Campus Center Multipurpose Rooms
Biddeford Campus

Free and open to the public

This one-day symposium explores many stories of healing, from personal to professional to collective, using approaches from the arts, humanities and health professions. We hope to encourage robust interdisciplinary conversation among participants and presenters throughout the day, and we welcome all members of the community to come for one session or the whole event.

The touchstone of this symposium is the work of Martha A. Hall, whose artists' books about her experience with breast cancer are on exhibit in the Ketchum Library Gallery during the Fall semester of 2018. Each panel in some way explores the implications and wider context for her work on the symposium themes.

The full schedule and other information about the symposium are available on the Maine Women Writers Collection website.
