Plastic Pickup
Practice self-care and help celebrate the 52nd Earth Day by giving back to the UNE neighborhood and the world at large. Road litter often becomes ocean debris by being washed through storm drains and traveling waterways to reach the sea. Plastics are particularly damaging to marine life and water quality. Join Brenda Edmands and the SASC team in a “plastic pickup” litter patrol in the UNE neighborhood. Bags and gloves will be provided and there will be a small free gift for all who participate. Gather outside Finley Recreation Center. The litter patrol will begin promptly at 9.
