Eric Zuelow Sabbatical talk
During his Spring 2024 sabbatical history professor Eric G.E. Zuelow wrestled with his tendency to agree to too many projects. He found himself working on multiple editing tasks, new research, and more. This talk will focus on two of these projects: 1) a groundbreaking study of the evolving relationship between tourism and nationalism; and 2) a fierce debate in England during the 1990s over the merits of modern versus vernacular architecture and the uses of nostalgia in planning for the future.
