UNE art exhibit features fiber artist Kathy Angel Lee

 The University of New England is hosting an art exhibit by fiber artist Kathy Angel Lee entitled "Watercolor Metamorphosis."

The main focus of the exhibit will feature work by Lee inspired by her photographs or watercolor paintings that she translated into fabric.  Besides the watercolor transformation pieces, the exhibit will also include several landscapes of local scenery.

Lee has been working with fiber for several years in her Old Orchard Beach studio.  She is a member of the Art Guild of Kennebunk, the Maine Women in the Arts, Saco Bay Artists, Maine Fiber Arts, Art Quilts Maine and the Studio Art Quilt Associates.  Her work can be viewed at www.kathyangellee.com.

This exhibit is on display in the Campus Center at the University of New England in Biddeford May 1 through May 28, 2009.  The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Opening will be Friday evening, May 1, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
