Brian Duff interviewed by MPBN public radio on probe for misuse of Clean Election funds
Brian Duff, Ph.D., associate professor of political science, was interviewed by the MPBN public radio for a Nov. 18, 2011 story on a Republican state legislator who faces possible criminal charges over the alleged misuse of Clean Election funds.
Duff told MPBN it's unusual for the Ethics Commission staff to recommend a criminal investigation in cases like this. He added that he does not regard the Burns case as an indictment of the Clean Election system. "It's just something that happens, which is that candidates use their money either sloppily or dishonestly." Listen to the story.
Duff is the author of The Parent as Citizen: A Democratic Dilemma.
