COP/CEN faculty member Dan Selvage has research paper accepted for publication
Daniel Selvage, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy and also an active member of the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences has a research paper that will be published in the alcohol research field’s leading journal, Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research. The article is entitled “Roles of the locus coeruleus and adrenergic receptors in brain- mediated hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis responses to intracerebroventricular alcohol”. This paper details experiments done in the by Dr. Selvage and his laboratory to investigate the brain pathways alcohol activates to disrupt the activity of the body’s normal stress response system. We look forward to more publications from his lab in the future.
