Tim Ford's research on the polluted Ganges River in India featured in Science journal
The April 22 issue of Science, the academic journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, discusses important research being conducted on the polluted Ganges River in India by UNE Vice President for Research Tim Ford and Montana State University microbiologist Steve Hamner.
The article states, "Although the Ganges is filthier than ever, a remedy for the ailing river may be at hand. This spring, India's central government is expected to give final approval for an innovative water-treatment scheme here.
If the project is successful, it would serve as a model for other cities and rivers in India." To read the full text of the article, entitled, “A Remedy at Last for the Ailing Ganges?,”
