UNE College of Pharmacy first in Northern New England to receive accreditation as provider of continuing education

The University of New England has announced the Office of Continuing Education within its College of Pharmacy has been granted provider status from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

This makes UNE the first accredited provider of continuing pharmacy education in Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

"We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of continuing education programs for faculty, future alumni and members of the pharmacy community," said UNE College of Pharmacy Chair and Associate Professor Ken "Mac" McCall, who also serves as president of the Maine Pharmacy Association. "We seek to serve the educational needs of pharmacy professionals including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, scientists and researchers at UNE and throughout northern New England."

Bob Morrissette, founding director of the Office of Continuing Education at the UNE College of Pharmacy said, "We will provide high-quality, evidenced-based educational activities that will advance professional competence and scientific techniques, enhance practice performance, promote medication safety, and improve public health in the communities served by the health care providers we educate."
