UNE's website honored with a first place by Educational Advertising Awards
The University of New England's website was recently honored by the Twenty-Sixth Annual Educational Advertising Awards with a first place "Gold Award" among institutions of similar size.
Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report, the sponsor of the awards.
Awards and certificates were given to those entrants whose programs and materials display exceptional quality, creativity and message effectiveness.
The redesign of the UNE website was part of the University's 2009 brand identity campaign, which was initiated to reflect the goals of the University's 10-year strategic plan.
The website redesign was the work of a team led by Neal Jandreau, web designer/new media manager, along with Dick Buhr, web editor, and David Russell of ITS, under the leadership of Kathleen Taggersell, director of communications.
In UNE's category, the University of Scranton took the Silver Award; Mass College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences took the Bronze Award; and Johns Hopkins University Undergraduate Admissions, College of the Holy Cross, and Luther College received Merit Awards.
