Bangor Daily News covers plans for UNE's new Patient Care Center for the Portland Campus
The Bangor Daily News on June 20, 2012 published a story on UNE's plans to build a new $14.5 million Patient Care Center on the Portland Campus, which will include what is expected to be the most advanced dental facility in Maine when completed. The center will be an educational facility for UNE’s College of Dental Medicine, which will accept its first class in fall 2013, and UNE's interprofessional education initiatives. The story also reported on UNE's plans to help alleviate parking issues in the neighborhood.
James J. Koelbl, D.D.S., M.S., M.J., dean of the College of Dental Medicine, and Alan Alan Thibeault, UNE assistant vice president for planning were interviewed for the story. Thibeault also discusses parking and zoning in a short video. The story was also picked up by the Sun Journal (Lewiston).
