Leonid Skorin completes American Osteopathic Association Health Policy Fellowship; presents at AOA Forum
Leonid Skorin Jr, O.D., D.O, MS.MEdL, successfully completed the American Osteopathic Association Health Policy Fellowship and was invited to present his final brief at the AOA Health Policy Forum in Washington D.C., in September 2012. His project was titled “The Negative Impact of Defunding Centers of Excellence and Health Careers Opportunity Program on our Nation’s Health Care Workforce.”
Skorin reports: “I am the first physician to be accepted into the Health Policy Fellowship from Minnesota. I am sure that my MS in Medical Education Leadership from UNECOM was a contributing factor in my acceptance into the program.”
Dr. Skorin is an ophthalmologist practicing with the Mayo Health System in Minnesota and an assistant professor of ophthalmology in the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic.
