Office of Patient and Population Oriented Research announces Pilot Project Awards to UNE researchers
The UNE Office of Patient and Population Oriented Research announced on April 19, 2012 Pilot Project Award grants supporting patient and population-oriented research projects led by the following UNE investigators and investigator teams:
(1) Nananda Col,M.D., M.P.H., professor, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and James Quinlan, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences: Decision Support Transformed: Integrating Patient Preferences with Clinical Evidence.
(2) Edward Li, Pharm.D., associate professor, College of Pharmacy, and Devon Sherwood, Pharm.D., assistant professor, College of Pharmacy: Assessment of the Data Quality of the Maine All-Payer Claims Database for Conducting Cancer Pharmacoepidemiological Studies.
(3) Erin Hartigan, Ph.D. assistant professor, Physical Therapy Program, and Michael Lawrence, MS, Physical Therapy and Applied Exercise Science programs: Does a challenging walking task increase limb symmetry in patients after ACL reconstruction?;
(4) Andrew Binks, Ph.D, associate professor, College of Osteopathic Medicine: Assessment of Air Hunger during Mechanical Ventilation.
