Maine Women Writers Collection commended in 'Portland Daily Sun'
Walter Skold, head of the Dead Poets Society of America, showed appreciation for the Maine Women Writers Collection on UNE's Portland Campus in the Portland Daily Sun. According to Skold, "We have an amazing resource here...[UNE has] the best archives in the state of women writers from Maine."
The article discussed the 2014 Dead Poets Remembrance Day celebration taking place in Portland on October 10th. Skold travels across the country seeking information about poets from each state. UNE's resources helped him uncover information about Anne Hazelwood-Brady, founder of Maine Women in the Arts, and former poetry editor of Maine Life.
