Moroccan Foreign Minister Mezouar notes UNE’s leadership in address to John Kerry
In his remarks to Secretary of State John Kerry and his delegation at the Opening Plenary of the U.S.-Morocco Strategic Dialogue in Rabat, Morocco, on April 4, 2014, Moroccan Foreign Minister Salaheddine Mezouar noted that the University of New England is a leader in bringing American university education to Morocco.
Speaking of the United States’ and Morocco’s “cultural and education partnership,” Mezouar expressed his “thanks to a network of American schools in the country, led by the University of New England, which will open in the city of Tangier…”
UNE’s Tangier, Morocco Campus welcomed its first group of 23 students on January 10th. An inauguration for the newest campus will take place on April 22nd. The University has invited dignitaries and representatives from Morocco, the city of Tangier, UNE’s global education partners, and the state of Maine to attend.
