Photos by David Bishop on display at UNE-Biddeford
A collection of photographs by David Bishop will be on display at the University of New England’s Biddeford Campus Center from July 1-August 4, 2014.
A photographer for the past 40 years, Bishop has had a special interest in creating panoramas for over 20 years. The Maine seashore is a natural subject for panoramas.
Bishop worked at the textile mill West Point Pepperell for 35 years until it closed in 2009. For the past four years he has been employed by the University of New England on its Biddeford Campus.
After viewing photographs that Bishop shared with them, a group of UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine students purchased eight photos that they donated to the school; those photographs are now permanently exhibited in the third floor lobby of the Harold Alfond Center for Health Sciences on UNE’s Biddeford Campus.
The photo exhibit is free and open to the public. UNE’s Campus Center is located at 11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, Maine. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. For more information, contact Diane Noble.
