Dora Mills talks health care in Portland Press Herald
Dora Mills, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.P., vice president of Clinical Affairs, spoke to the Portland Press Herald in a recent article about the declining rate of uninsured residents in Maine.
According to the article, the drop in Maine’s uninsured rate since instating the Affordable Care Act is possibly due to an increase in ACA coverage purchases. Mills reasoned that population health will improve as a result of the drop.
Since lack of access to affordable care is a deterrent for many people, Mills stated that the decrease in Mainers who are uninsured will eventually lead to a healthier community, and a more stable health care industry.
