Marilyn Gugliucci gives keynote presentation at Opportunity Alliance anniversary celebration
Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., director of Geriatrics Education and Research, was invited to give the keynote presentation for the Opportunity Alliance Foster Grandparent and Senior Companions 50th Anniversary Celebration. Gugliucci’ s address was titled: “’Generating’ Connections: The Influence You Have on Society.”
The Opportunity Alliance is celebrating half a century of providing programs that serve the community such as housing services, mental health services, early childhood education and family support. Gugliucci’s presentation focused on the generational differences from Gen Z through the GI Generation, all of whom were present in the audience of two hundred fifty guests. Among those guests were foster grandparents to elementary school children and senior companions to other older adults who benefit from companionship.
