Media outlets report on annual Bush Lecture Series

The Portland Press Herald and WGME published stories about the University of New England’s 2015 George and Barbara Bush Distinguished Lecture featuring TIME Magazine managing editor Nancy Gibbs and deputy managing editor Michael Duffy.

The lecture, titled “The Presidents Club: Inside the World’s Most Exclusive Fraternity,” was based on Gibbs’ and Duffy’s book with the same title, which spent 30 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. It was the second of Gibbs’ and Duffy’s best-selling presidential histories, following The Preacher and the Presidents: Billy Graham in the White House (2007).

President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush attended the lecture. During their remarks, Gibbs and Duffy pointed out what a special moment it was to be in the presence of one of the 44 presidents.
