Ty Gowen, ghost hunter, featured on ‘MaineDreams’ website
The story of Ty Gowen ’08, an English major and Art minor, was recently added to the MaineDreams website, a repository of inspirational stories about Maine people who are living their dreams.
Gowen, who grew up in Southern Maine and who has been captivated by the paranormal since a young age, is a lead ghost investigator on the show "Haunt ME," a ghost hunting web series that takes place in historical buildings in Maine where paranormal activity has been reported.
He explained in his MaineDreams story that he helps people identify the kind of ghost they are dealing with and communicates with some of them through technology that measures electric magnetic fields. "What you don’t see on the show is us behind the scenes walking through these pitch dark places bumping into each other and trying to not miss the last step of stairs," he joked.
The series is approaching the release of its third season this May.
