UNE Interprofessional Student Advisory Team holds third annual case competition
UNE’s Interprofessional Student Advisory Team (IPSAT) held the third annual case competition at the College of Pharmacy on March 7, 2015. This event is held as part of the national CLARION Competition, sponsored by the University of Minnesota, which is dedicated to furthering interprofessional collaboration for improving patient safety and health care quality.
Four interprofessional student teams participated in the competition:
- College of Pharmacy: Yang Chen; Cathy Ng; Sujin An; Stephanie Brown; Erin Kany and Liam Lombard
- College of Medicine: Natasha Neal; Juliet Baltonado and Ianna Hondros-McCarthy
- Westbrook College of Health Professions: Sara Hanrahan; Marissa Stevens, O.T.; Sophia Olsen; Emily Cyr, B.S.N.; and Jenny Ottoson, P.A.
- College of Graduate and Professional Studies: Ian Imbert, M.P.H.
Members of the winning team included Stephanie Brown, Erin Kany, Jenny Ottoson and Juliet Baltonado. These students will go on to represent UNE at the national CLARION Competition in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 17 –18.
All members of the UNE community are invited to attend a presentation by the winning team on Wednesday, March 25 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. in Ludcke Auditorium on the Portland Campus.
