Christian Teter and Bill Paterson discuss how marijuana impacts brain development on ‘WCSH’ and ‘WGME’
Christian Teter, Pharm.D., BCPP, associate professor of Psychopharmacology at UNE and Bill Paterson, adjunct faculty and program director for Project Alliance, were interviewed by WCSH and WGME regarding the effects of marijuana on the adolescent brain.
The story featured the “Keeping Youth Healthy: Marijuana and Teens” summit, sponsored by UNE’s Coastal Healthy Communities Coalition’s Project Alliance in conjunction with several York county schools. Teter and Paterson described new research showing that the brain continues to develop until age 24 or 25 and that marijuana use can adversely impact learning abilities.
