Dana Law-Ham presents at nurse educator conference
Dana Law-Ham, Ph.D., R.N., F.N.P., C.N.E., assistant clinical professor in the University of New England Westbrook College of Health Professions Department of Nursing, recently attended the 24th Annual Saint Anselm Nurse Educator Conference, titled “Clinicians and Educators: Collaborating to Meet Practice Challenges.”
At the conference, Law-Ham presented a poster titled, “An Examination of Clinical Instructor Effectiveness Based on Educational Preparation as Perceived by Nursing Students.” The poster represented the study Law-Ham conducted for her doctoral research. The purpose of the study was to investigate how nursing students perceive the clinical effectiveness of undergraduate-prepared nursing instructors as opposed to graduate-prepared instructors.
