Kenneth McCall receives board certification in Geriatric Pharmacy
Kenneth McCall, BSPharm, Pharm.D., CGP, associate professor for the Department of Pharmacy Practice, has been credentialed as a Certified Geriatric Pharmacist.
Administered by the Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy, this nationally recognized examination assesses the applicant’s skills and in-depth knowledge. As older adults often require multiple medications simultaneously, geriatric pharmacists focus on the needs of the total patient, taking into account all diseases and medicines in order to provide proper drug therapy. Thus, board certification demonstrates that the certified pharmacist has special expertise beyond that of a licensed pharmacist.
