Marilyn Gugliucci chosen for leadership role in the International Association for Gerontology and Geriatrics
Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., was selected to serve a three-year term on the North America Regional Council (NARC) of the International Association for Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG). In the North America Region, which includes the United States and Canada, 12 representatives (6 from each country) serve to advance relations in the field of aging and bring forth new initiatives in aging to the IAGG World Congresses.
The IAGG is among the most highly acclaimed conferences in the world. Every four years it brings together thought leaders, industry pioneers, scientists, researchers and innovators from across multiple disciplines in the fields of aging, human health and disease.
The 21st IAGG World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics will take place July 23-27, 2017 in San Francisco, California. In 2021 it will be held in Argentina. Gugliucci will work with the members of the North America Regional Council to ensure advancement of geriatrics/gerontology within this region and at the 21st and 22nd IAGG World Congress meetings.
