Megan Landry interviewed about the demand for trained health informatics professionals
Megan Landry, M.H.A., B.S.N., program manager for the University of New England’s health informatics program in the Online College of Graduate and Professional Studies, was recently interviewed for an article about the growing field of data scientist jobs in health care.
The article, titled, “Desperately Seeking Data,” details the need for trained information technology professionals who have a clinical background. Landry, who helped launch UNE’s Master of Science in Health Informatics degree, said employers are already calling. “They’re pleading,” she said, “for employees or interns with experience in healthcare data analytics or some variation.”
