Noah Perlut, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Environmental Studies, gave a presentation on February 16, 2016, as part of the Winter Talk series at Merryspring Nature Center.
Perlut’s talk was titled “Controlling Mosquitoes with Gardens and Wildlife.” He described a study at UNE designed to reduce human exposure to mosquito-borne diseases by increasing biological control of mosquitoes. This ongoing project analyzes how birds, bats and insect-repellant plants have impacted mosquito populations at the UNE campus.
