Occupational Therapy professor Regi Robnett co-authors updated assessment
Regi Robnett, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, professor of Occupational Therapy at the University of New England, is well known as a scholar and assessment developer in the field of occupational therapy. Her most recent publication is the “Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills" (KELS).
The original assessment (Kohlman Thomson, 1992) was a widely used occupational therapy assessment tool designed to assess an individual’s independent living skills. The KELS has needed updating for about 20 years. Linda Thomson and Robnett worked on beta testing a new edition with clinicians all over the country. Now, the fourth edition of the KELS by Thomson, in collaboration with Robnett, has been published by AOTA, Inc. The new edition of the KELS was first made available at the annual national conference in Chicago in April of 2016.
