Scott Steinberg shares college search tips in 'Bangor Daily News' article
An article by Scott Steinberg, dean of University Admissions, titled “7 tips for starting your college search,” was published by the Bangor Daily News on April 28, 2016.
Steinberg advises that there are several steps that can be taken by prospective college students that “can ultimately save time, money, and increase the likelihood of a better fit between school and student.”
He recommends doing online research about schools; looking at schools that are close to home, even if your intentions are to attend school far away; focusing on your major if you know what you want to study but not being overly concerned if you’re undecided; looking for extracurricular opportunities; investigating financial aid options; asking about student outcomes; and connecting with others who are familiar with the college search process.
