UNE highlighted as model for financial success in ‘Business Officer’ magazine
University of New England President Danielle Ripich and Vice President of Finance and Administration Nicole Trufant told the story of UNE’s path to reinvention in the November 2016 issue of Business Officer magazine, a publication from the National Association of University Business Officers.
The article, titled, “Strategic Intent to Reinvent,” explained how President Ripich and the UNE administration created a growth-minded culture to forge a pathway to financial stability and growth for the institution. It details the university’s accomplishments over the past decade, including an enrollment increase from 4,000 to more than 12,000 students, a new campus in Morocco and three new colleges.
“Together, our centralized approach to management kept UNE nimble and quick to adapt as it built or renovated more than a million square feet of space on three campuses, and created new programs that solidified its new mission as a university committed to innovation for a healthier planet,’” the article stated.
President Ripich and Vice President Trufant also spoke at the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers annual meeting in Washington, D.C. in October.
