UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine faculty named National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators Fellows
The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) has announced that Marilyn Gugliucci, Ph.D., professor & director for Geriatrics Education and Research at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, is among the 2017-2022 National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME) Fellows.
NAOME Fellows are inducted into the Academy each year to serve a five-year term. As Fellows, inductees function as leaders and mentors for academic scholarship and excellence within the osteopathic medical education community.
In addition, Polly Leonard, D.O., M.S., clinical professor at UNE COM, is among three NAOME Fellows who have successfully reapplied for an additional five-year fellowship. Both Leonard and Gugliucci were inducted as Fellows in the Category of Medical Education Leadership, in recognition of attaining rigorous standards of academic excellence in medical education leadership.
