UNE medical student awarded scholarship from American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine

The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) has announced that University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine student Manuela Noriega (COM ’18) is the recipient of the 2017 Sherry Arnstein Student Minority Scholarship.

During her first and second years of medical school Noriega assumed leadership roles in both the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG) and the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA). In addition, she found time to help with student interviews while being a positive and helpful role model to her peers.
