UNE’s Barton Seaver receives national recognition for latest cookbook, aquaculture work
Barton Seaver, senior advisor in Sustainable Seafood Innovations at the University of New England, received an International Association of Culinary Professionals Award. His book, Two if by Sea, was recognized in the Food Matters category, which awards cookbooks that focus on the impact of food choices on personal health and the health of the planet.
Seaver was also recently named one of the “30 Faces of Healthy” by Cooking Light magazine. The magazine highlighted Seaver’s work in aquaculture. "I'm working to educate about how aquaculture has improved, and how it must be a fundamental part of our diet, both for health and the environment," he told the magazine. The list also recognizes the work of Michelle Obama, Marion Nestle, Alice Waters and Dan Barber.
