UNE’s Biddeford Campus Center showcases 'The Color of Light' exhibit by artist Diana Kilfoil
An exhibition of art work titled The Color of Light by Diana Kilfoil will be on display at the University of New England’s Biddeford Campus Center through the month of July. The exhibit displays pieces in oil, pastels and watercolors.
A resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kilfoil summers on the coast of Maine, which she credits with inspiring her art work. “The Color of Light” is her debut show outside of Ohio.
Kilfoil is past president of the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati, founded in 1892, the longest continuously operating women’s art club in the U.S. She also served for six years on the Board of Trustees of the Woman’s Art Club Cultural Center, which was established in 1997 through Woman’s Art Club Foundation. She is a signature member of the Cincinnati Art Club as well as a member of the Brush & Palette Plein Air Painters of Cincinnati.
Kilfoil received an Associate of Arts degree from Immaculata Junior College in Washington, D.C., and studied graphic design at the University of Cincinnati. She has continued her art education through numerous workshops throughout the country, concentrating on landscape painting with instructors of all mediums.
