UNE’s Edward Li to speak at hematology symposium

Ed Li

Edward Li, M.P.H., BCOP, professor in the College of Pharmacy, will present a satellite symposium during the American Society of Hematology’s 59th Annual Meeting and Exposition (ASH). Li is one of three expert faculty members who will give satellite talks during the conference.

Li’s presentation, Evaluating the Emerging Role of Biosimilar Agents for the Treatment of Hematologic Malignancies, will take place December 8, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia. He will offer insight on the regulatory process associated with the approval of biosimilars by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, along with current and emerging efficacy and safety data for biosimilar agents used in the treatment of hematologic malignancies.

The satellite programs will focus on some of the most pressing issues in hematology, including the use of CAR T cells in cancer therapy and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) pathogenesis.
