UNE’s Nicole Trufant appointed to board of National Association of College and University Business Officers
University of New England Vice President of Finance and Administration Nicole Trufant has been appointed to serve on the board of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
The appointment comes on the heels of Trufant being elected to a serve as vice chair of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) beginning in the fall of 2018.
NACUBO represents chief business and financial officers through advocacy efforts, community service and professional development activities. The association's mission is to advance the economic viability, business practices and support for higher education institutions in fulfillment of their missions. Trufant will serve on the board alongside representatives from some of the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities.
EACUBO is one of four regional branches of NACUBO, with a mission to promote effective and ethical business and financial administration in colleges and universities. Its primary goal is to provide high quality professional development opportunities that are relevant and timely.
“I am honored to have been selected to serve on the NACUBO board and grateful to my colleagues at EACUBO who elected me to the distinguished position of vice chair,” Trufant said. “These roles are a clear reflection on the positive work we are doing at UNE and the reputation of the university among business officers in the region and around the country.”
