UNE’s University Admissions staff present at Liaison EMP Summit 2017
Joanne Toone, director of Integrated Admissions Strategy, and Kristin Quatrano, marketing manager of the Integrated Admissions Strategy team, recently presented at the Liaison Enrollment Marketing Platform (EMP) Summit 2017 in Boston, Massachusetts. They were invited to present on the University of New England’s strategic use of social media in admissions and their experience managing “The Connection,” UNE’s private social network for accepted undergraduate students.
Their presentation, “Private Social Networks: How to boost student engagement and yield (even when you’re not invited),” provided best practices for engaging students within a private social network from acceptance through enrollment.
Toone also serves as a member of the Liaison EMP Advisory Board, which provides strategic guidance on admissions trends in higher education and identifies business processes and functionality that shape the future direction of the EMP.
“It’s rewarding to share the work of University Admissions with our national peers and have it recognized as setting best practice in higher education,” said Toone.
