Frank Willard named Instructor of the Year by Spine Intervention Society
Frank Willard, Ph.D., professor of anatomy in the Biomedical Sciences department at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, was named Instructor or the Year by the Spine Intervention Society (SIS) at the organization’s annual meeting in Chicago.
SIS represents physicians in 43 countries practicing anesthesiology, radiology, neurology, orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and neurosurgery. Those physicians are dedicated to advancing awareness of the implementation of evidence-based spine interventions through practice, advocacy, research, and education.
The organization provides post-doctoral level training to interventional anesthesiologists, radiologists, physiatrists and other physicians treating pain syndromes. For more than 15 years, Willard has been an instructor in their training programs. Last year, he was promoted to the rank of Master Instructor in the Society.
