#OneTwoGiveBlue: One Day. 500 Donors. Real Impact.
The University of New England’s third #OneTwoGiveBlue giving day was a huge success with over 626 donors making a gift to UNE on March 27! A final donor number will be announced on Friday, March 30, as gifts are still being tallied, but it is certainly the largest number of people giving to UNE on a single day.
“The energy on campus, on social media, and on the phones was fantastic,” said Amy Haile, assistant vice president of Institutional Advancement. “I am so grateful to all of our alumni, parents, faculty, professional staff, and students who came together to celebrate their UNE pride.”
This year, students in the Class of 2018 and the newly created Student Philanthropy Association (SPA) played a large role in the success of the day as donors and volunteers. The senior class has initiated a class giving effort to honor their UNE experience, and many of them are contributing the Nathan Desjardins Memorial Scholarship. President James Herbert supported their efforts with his own #OneTwoGiveBlue gift going to the Desjardins scholarship.
