An exhibition of watercolor and acrylic paintings by students in a York County Senior College (YCSC) painting class, taught by volunteer instructor Patricia Wood, will be on display at the University of New England’s Biddeford Campus Center from May 2 to May 31. The display will feature the works of ten student painters.

An opening reception will be held on May 5, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The YCSC was established 20 years ago to provide low-cost learning experiences to mature adults aged 50 and up. Courses provide accessible, stress-free education, with no entrance requirements, no homework, and no tests or grades. The college also provides stimulating opportunities for older adults to interact with peers in and out of the classroom, offering field trips, lecture series, and social events that complement coursework.

Several painting workshops and classes have become a popular part of the YCSC’s diversified curriculum.

For more information about the YCSC membership, email info@yorkcountyseniorcollege.org.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. UNE’s Campus Center is located at 11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, Maine. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, contact Diane Noble by email  or phone (207-284-6394).
