Cynthia Simon, director of the College of Arts and Sciences Internship Office, recently presented at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Center for Research on College-Workforce Transitions second annual Symposium on College Internship Research.
Her presentation compared national academic internship models and considered credit-bearing internship curriculum.
Simon’s talk provided expertise on designing for-credit internship courses using a central internship model.
The model incorporates national internship discipline best practices, strategies and student learning outcomes.
Simon’s talk lead to an invitation for her to provide a consultation to the Experiential Learning & Career Education office at Cardinal Stritch University and a talk at the United Negro College Fund in Atlanta.
