I first found the world of occupational therapy and occupational science through my work with the IDD community as an anthropologist. Since then, my primary OT experience has been in pediatrics with a special interest working with adolescents and young adults with IDD to navigate their post-secondary transitions. My current research interests and work include critical analyses of societal and occupational understandings of life transitions, applied research related to challenging and abolishing ableist structures within clinical practice and community life, and pedagogical approaches to OT and OS curriculum design.
