Dr. Chris is a graduate of UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency in pediatrics at Maine Medical Center. He holds board certification as a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics. He is on staff at both Mercy and Maine Medical Center. He is a member of the Core Group of pediatricians at Mercy Hospital, providing emergency first-response care for sick newborns. He often makes presentations about new ideas in pediatrics at conferences of the Maine Osteopathic Association. As Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UNE, Dr. Chris is the coordinator of education for medical students, interns, and residents during their rotations at UHC/Kids. He also teaches medical students on campus how to conduct the history and physical exam and to work with parents and schools. In the community, Dr. Chris has recently completed his term as a member of the Board of Directors for Hear ME Now! (Maine's auditory/oral learning center for hearing impaired children). This year he joined the Board of the local fundraising chapter of St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Hospital. He is currently a member of the Education Committee of the Maine Osteopathic Association. Dr. Chris is married with two children and one "hypoallergenic dog with allergies". His family likes to travel, hike, camp and spend time together.
