Denise Marcoux Nelson

Denise is very excited to have joined the staff at the University of New England in July of 2018.   She is the Director of Housing and Residential/Commuter Life and as such provides vision and oversight to the department in support of the mission of the university.  After receiving both a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and a master’s degree in College Student Development from the University of Maine she went on to hold professional positions in student affairs in Maine, New Hampshire and New York. 

Denise is married to Stephen (also a student affairs professional) and has two college aged students, Kristin (23) and Bryan (19) and a miniature Australian Shepherd puppy named Eko.  Spare time is spent with family and friends enjoying the various activities and beautiful locations that exist in Maine.
