Jennifer "Jen" Brown, M.S.W., LMSW-cc

Jennifer Brown, LMSW-cc, is a clinical counselor at the Student Counseling Center in Biddeford. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of Hartford in Connecticut and went on to complete her Master's in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire. 

Jennifer has had the pleasure of working with many diverse populations including working in community mental health with children & families, the LGBTQIA+ community, couples, individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and adults struggling with substance use and/or eating disorders. 

Jennifer approaches all of her students with unconditional positive regard and provides them with a space to foster personal growth and improve their relationships. Jennifer also works with students to explore their strengths, areas for growth, while enhancing problem-solving skills and coping strategies. Jennifer’s interventions include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
