Public Health is my passion!  Although I have many other professional irons in the fire, my work always centers around public health – more specifically, around issues of social justice and its relationship to health disparities of all forms.  As an academic, I’ve attempted to translate that important information to Graduate Health Professions students in terms of how they address primary care for rural and underserved populations.  I love teaching and helping students problem-solve – I like to stay in close touch with the students in my courses, particularly if they are on-line, so that we all feel a part of the learning experience.

I live in Orrington, Maine, with my veterinarian husband, Mark, our 4 cats, 4 dogs and occasional rescued mouse.
