Roberta Barber, Pharm.D., M.P.H.

Roberta M. Barber, Pharm. D, MPH has been appointed the Founding Director of Laboratory Learning for the College of Pharmacy.
In this new role, Dr. Barber will has both administrative and teaching responsibilities; supporting teaching teams involved with the Hannaford Pharmacy Practice Lab and the Community Pharmacies Pharmaceutics Lab with the College, to ensure student safety, optimal conditions for student learning, pedagogic evaluations and data-driven course improvement.
Along with assuring quality experiential training, she coordinates schedules and assures quality of laboratory equipment and technologies.
Dr. Barber is a founding faculty member, and from 2008-2009, served the College as the Founding Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice in a dual capacity role while holding the position of Director of Pharmacy Services at Maine Medical Center. Her contributions to the College have been numerous, including faculty recruitment and program planning.
Dr. Barber received her BS, Pharmacy and Pharm D from Union University, Albany College of Pharmacy and her Master of Public Health Degree from Columbia University.
At home, RobertaÕs interests include family and taking advantage of the outdoor activities afforded by the NortheastÕs four seasons.
